2.12 · 13" laptop / constrained width (~1100px) 4C preview

Layout-only UI-NOW. Our buyer is on a 13"–15" laptop, not a multi-monitor war room. Rules: rail → icon strip; inspector → right-edge drawer (selecting a cell opens it); viewer → full-centre overlay (not a third/fourth column). Never show three full columns below 1280px. Addendum §8 replaces the old “no horizontal scroll” promise with real wide-grid mechanics: the document column stays pinned and question columns scroll.

4C preview
Not the 4A first slice. Responsive polish — rail → icon strip, inspector → drawer, viewer → overlay — is Phase 4C hardening. 4A targets the desktop three-zone workbench; this screen previews the constrained-width behaviour that 4C delivers. (The Document overlay shown here is itself 4B.)

Minimum ergonomics: 44px hit targets, the matter bar stays pinned so aggregate status/stale/export are always reachable, and colour is never the sole indicator — every glyph and gutter carries a text equivalent for greyscale and screen-reader users.
